Although born in Japan, since the age of 3, Jiro was brought up in Malaysia, the United States, China and Hong Kong. He returned to his home country for high school, and graduated from the University of Tokyo with a bachelor's degree in Chinese history*.
Brought up in multiple cultures, Jiro is a professional media coordinator and translator / interpreter, who has worked with organizations such as SVT (Swedish Public Broadcast), and the Shibuya Image Forum Theatre.
On stage, Jiro regularly performs stand-up comedy and improv comedy, both in English and Japanese, exploring his identity stuck in between Japan and elsewhere.
*Jiro unfortunately doesn't speak business Chinese but can introduce Chinese language professionals in Japan!

1996年長崎生まれ。父親の仕事の都合で3歳から中学卒業までマレーシア・アメリカ合衆国・中国・香港で育ち、高校から日本で生活。東京大学文学部東洋史学科卒（近代中国史ゼミ）*。
日英バイリンガルとしてのスキルと多文化で育ったバックグラウンドを活かし、取材コーディネーター・通訳翻訳として、SVT（スウェーデン公共放送）、渋谷イメージフォーラムなどをクライアントに持つ。
また、コメディアンとしても日英両言語で活動中（スタンダップ、インプロ／即興演劇）。
